Leonardo DRS - Stick it to breast cancer

Breast Cancer Awareness Day

Leonardo DRS Goes Pink to "Stick It to Breast Cancer"

On Tuesday, October 15th, Leonardo DRS is going pink for Breast Cancer Awareness Day. This year, the company has partnered with the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) to raise up to $10,000 for the foundation’s “Look Good, Feel Better” program. This initiative supports active and retired members of the military and their families affected by breast cancer as they undergo and recover from cancer treatment, helping them manage the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment by offering lessons on skin and nail care, cosmetics, wigs and turbans, and more.

To reach this goal, Leonardo DRS is sponsoring “Stick It to Breast Cancer,” a fundraiser that will be run both internally and at the company’s booth at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) annual expo in Washington, DC. Along with wearing pink, employees are encouraged to fill out a “Stick It to Cancer” sticker with a hero in their life that is battling, has beaten, or was taken by breast cancer. For each sticker filled out, Leonardo DRS will donate $5 to HJF. If employees post the sticker to social media with the hashtag #StickIt2Cancer, the company will donate another $5. AUSA attendees will be encouraged to do the same, and the Leonardo DRS booth at the expo will turn pink for the occasion.
