St. Louis Gives Back

November 1, 2019 -- For many families, putting food on the table each night is a luxury. Sometimes, it takes the help of others to make that a reality.

On November 1st, several employees from Leonardo DRS Land Systems in St. Louis, MO volunteered with the St. Louis Area Foodbank to pack and sort food at the food bank's Bridgeton location. Each year, the St. Louis Area Foodbank provides more than 35 million meals to low-income families in 26 counties across Missouri and Illinois.

In just three short hours, volunteers Pete Graham, Becky Rodrigues, Stephanie Sieloff, Ashley Semple, Sue Falk, Mike Hayworth, Renee Popham, and Dave Anzalone assisted in processing 19,920 pounds of food, which was turned into 16,261 meals for the area's needy.

While this was the first time Leonardo DRS employees have worked with the St. Louis Food Bank, it certainly won't be the last. This volunteer effort comes as part of a larger Leonardo DRS volunteer campaign that ties together community outreach and aiding in the wellness of others.
