January 15, 2018 -- Employees at the Naval Power Systems facilities in Danbury and Bridgeport, Conn., donated new or gently used blankets in December as well as “bedtime bags” to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission for children in need.
The bags included a washcloth and soap, child’s toothbrush and toothpaste, a bedtime story book, and a stuffed animal. The objective of the rescue mission is “to excel in the provision of food, shelter, clothing, education, job training and residential discipleship for the urban poor and addicted.”
