EOIS Amps up College Recruiting

EOIS Amps up College Recruiting

November 6, 2019 -- The bright young minds of today make up the future of defense technology, and the Electro-Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) business unit of Leonardo DRS continues to tap into that resource.

Amping up their college recruiting efforts, representatives from the EOIS facilities in Melbourne, FL and Dallas, TX took part in events with their local universities to educate students on the products and services that Leonardo DRS offers, as well as the career opportunities that are present within the company.

At the beginning of October, Dallas EOIS hosted an open house in coordination with the University of Texas at Dallas' Eric Jonsson School of Engineering. Students and faculty from the university were invited to the Leonardo DRS campus, where they received a demonstration of the products offered by EOIS. Attendees were given a tour of the facility as well as an opportunity to network with members of the team.

Later on in the month, Leonardo DRS partnered with the Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne to offer a luncheon for the university's College of Engineering students. Via an organizational overview of the company by SVP/GM of EOIS Jerry Hathaway and panel discussions with Engineering and Operations representatives, attendees were able to learn more about Leonardo DRS and the opportunities available to them in the form of internships and post-graduation positions.

These events were part of a larger 2019 recruitment campaign of partnering with universities and colleges to educate and network with upcoming graduates, which will continue in 2020.
