Leonardo DRS Arctic Broadband Map

Arctic Broadband

Leonardo DRS operates and maintains resilient fiber optic, microwave, and satellite networks in remote and extremely challenging environments throughout Alaska.

The Arctic Broadband service provides Alaskan businesses and communities with fast and cost-effective connections to the Internet and their networks. Through a robust, reliable and secure communications infrastructure, our customers get their bandwidth with no data caps or extra fees.

Additionally, our customers benefit from the same commitment, mission-critical expertise, and flexible services that the most demanding organizations within the U.S. Department of Defense have come to rely on over the past 20 years.

The Only Choice When Success Is Critical

For over 16 years, Leonardo DRS has been providing robust communications to very remote locations in Alaska. As a communications & technology partner to remote health care clinics and rural school districts all over Alaska, we are accustomed to meeting the most demanding operational requirements in the state. Leonardo DRS provides comprehensive services from network design and build, to network operations and management, while our full life-cycle sustainment services keep end-users satisfied with reliable and optimized communication solutions.

Leonardo DRS provides communications to over 100 sites across Alaska and operates an extensive microwave network providing reliable communications to under-served communities. With offices and operations based out of Anchorage & Fairbanks, we are able to respond quickly to most any rural Alaska location.

The fiber connection to Prudhoe Bay enables Leonardo DRS to provide point-to-point (PtP) and point-to-multi-point (PtMP) high-speed wireless broadband services in Deadhorse and the larger Prudhoe Bay area.
