February 28, 2018

The Leonardo DRS Global Enterprise Solutions business has won a re-compete contract with an approximate value of $13 million for services to be provided in support of the U.S. Army’s Integrated Network Operations Center.

Located at the Rock Island Arsenal in Illinois, the center supports more than 3,700 VSAT satellite communication systems in support of U.S., joint, and coalition forces during real-time operations, contingency deployments, training, and humanitarian missions. A VSAT, or very small aperture terminal, is a two-way satellite ground station with a dish antenna smaller in diameter than 3.8 meters.

The base period of the contract runs from March 12 to Sept. 11, 2018. The agreement also contains three one-year options. Re-compete means to vie for a previously awarded contract when the option period of the original agreement is ending.

Services to be provided include help desk and engineering support, systems administration, and cyber security. In addition, the company will backstop global contractor field service representatives.
