The FWS-CS is a thermal weapon sight, which wirelessly communicates with a helmet worn display (HMD) increasing survivability and decisive operations in day or night conditions. The Warfighter has the ability to engage enemy targets while they are in defilade.

The Mission Computer and Chief of Section Display are essential components for Modernizing the M777A2 Lightweight 155mm Howitzer’s Digital Fire Control System (DFCS). The DFCS enables automated howitzer operations relevant to technical fire control, e.g. the ability to self-locate, navigate, communicate, compute ballistic solutions, point and manage ammunition.
